Rocket Singh
Sky is not the limit
Don’t mix professional life with personal life. This valuable piece of advice is doled out for anyone embarking on a promising career. The indomitable Sikh hero of Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year faces a similar dilemma of balancing his career with his personal life. He stumbles on an all-winning formula that sets his career skyrocketing.
The movie, directed by Shimit Amin, stars Ranbir Kapoor and introduces Shazahn Padamsee. It also stars Gauhar Khan, Prem Chopra, Mukesh Bhatt, D Santosh and Naveen Kaushik.
Ranbir Kapoor actually grew a beard for his role of an energetic Sikh salesman in the film. The film’s story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics are penned by Jaideep Sahni.
Synopsis
Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) has just graduated, and his marks are, well, let’s say a little embarrassing. But marks never stopped him from dreaming of an exciting and adventurous career, and they never will.
He takes a deep, positive breath and dives into the world of sales, rumoured to be an ultra cool career for all smart people blocked from entering medical, engineering or business schools by brainless entrance exams.
It’s everything he dreamt of, with its smooth dressing, smoother talking men and women who can sell ice to an Eskimo, dreams to an insomniac, and a lifetime mobile connection to a dying man. But soon, his idea of success begins clashing with the strange ways of these ‘professionals’ and ‘bosses’ he looked up to.
“Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year” is the sometimes thoughtless, sometimes thoughtful story of a fresh graduate trying to find a balance between the maddening demands of the ‘professional’ way, and the way of his heart. It’s about him stumbling upon a crazy way which turned his world upside down, and his career right side up.
Welcome to the world of sales boss!
The film’s music and background score is by Salim Suleiman. Costumes are by designer Niharika Khan. The film’s director of photography is Vikash Nowlakha. Editing is done by Arindam S. Ghatak.
‘Rocket Singh’ is produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is slated to release on December 11, 2009.

Dulha Mil Gaya
Sushmita Sen plays the ‘queen of oomph’ while Fardeen Khan plays the ‘prince of confusion’ in the upcoming matrimonial comedy titled Dulha Mil Gaya. Shahrukh Khan, who has a guest appearance in the film, is the ‘king of love’ who doles out valuable tips on the matters of the heart.
Bumbling Fardeen, sexy Sush, and suave SRK make a colourful troika in this comedy of romance and heartaches. Don’t believe us? Check it out here:
The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Viveck Vaswani. It’s been shot mostly in Malaysia and Trinidad and Tobago. Its shooting got stretched because SRK was too busy with other commitments; also because producer Vaswani, who’s a friend of SRK, allegedly elongated SRK’s role in the movie and wanted more dates from the superstar.
With music by Lalit Pandit and choreography by Ahmed Khan and Howard Rosemeyer, the film is set to release in January next year.
3 Idiots
3 Idiots Synopsis
The official 3 Idiots synopsis:
Two friends embark on a quest for a lost buddy. On this journey they encounter a long forgotten bet, a wedding they must crash and a funeral that goes impossibly out of control.
As they make their way through the perilous landscape, another journey begins: their inner journey through memory lane and the story of their friend–the irrepressible free- thinker Rancho[Aamir Khan], who in his unique way, touches and changes their lives.
It is a story of their hostel days that swings between Rancho college romance with the spirited Pia [Kareena], and his clash with an oppressive mentor[Boman Irani].
Finally, in misty mountains of unparalleled beauty, the friends[R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi] find the key to the secret that they seek.
3 Idiots is a comedy of ideas that is as provocative as it is funny, as wildly entertaining as it is insightful. A laugh-riot that talks about the most important of human pursuits: self-actualization.

Bollywood Movie Review
Aoo Wish Karein
Director : Glenn Baretto
Music :Ankur Tewari, Xulfi
Lyrics :Ankur Tiwari, Xulfi, Danish Khan
Starring :
Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Sharif, Johnny Lever
If you believe in fairytales, you can be a part of it. This is what Hitchcock (not Alfred), but Johnny Lever's character keeps repeating. Indeed, if you believe in fairytales, this film is for you. There is no doubt about it.
It's what all fairytales are like and it does not disappoint. Forget the fact that it is a borrowed concept; a remake of Hollywood's BIG, starring Tom Hanks. Though not lifted frame for frame, producer Aftab Shivdasani, who also takes credit as the storywriter does inject his own ideas too. A decent attempt by this first time producer.
The setting is surreal and immediately gets you into a storybook mould. The characters etched are befitting the genre and you should have no complaints with the plot and premise too. Remember, this is a movie for kids, released a day before Children's Day.
Mickey is a young boy of 12 who is besotted by 22-year-old town beauty Mitika (Aamna Sharif). He has a friend in Bonny who he spends most of his waking time with. At home, his father is not too pleased with his 'out of school' activities, while his mother is always protective about him. It appears that Mickey is their adopted son and this fact is known to Mickey during one of the arguments his parents have over him. He also has a kid sister he adores.
Coming back to the plot, Mickey is desperate to woo Mitika and he is helped by Hitchcock, who, it appears, knows everything about everybody. Mickey is helped to make a wish at the wishing well, and the next morning he is BIG enough to woo Mitika. Then begins the process of falling in love and the ultimate marriage day, where Mickey (Aftab Shivdasani) becomes his small self.

Bollywood Film Fans Community in Jakarta
Bollywood Film Fans Community in Jakarta
In Jakarta has Indian Community and on Friday i am Lia Mulya go to my indian Friend Birthday party his name is Sheikar at Senayan,Jakarta.i also unterviewed him about the Bollywood fans community an then he shared a lot of information about that.
This is the information about Bollywood fans community:
Taking a lead from their Hollywood counterparts, India’s Hindi-language film stars are getting online, using the Internet to get closer to their fans.
Whereas only a few years ago, Bollywood stars were still responding to fan mail, signing photographs of themselves and sending them across India by post, the industry’s biggest names are now keeping followers up to date via the Web.
Actresses from Shilpa Shetty and Celina Jaitley to actors Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are posting photos, videos and their thoughts on films and life on personal Web sites.
Social networking sites like Facebook and its Indian equivalent Orkut are also a preferred medium to keep fans up to date with new releases and events.
And although no Bollywood star has yet to surpass US actor Ashton Kutcher’s massive 2.75 million followers on Twitter, Bollywood is also taking to the micro-blogging site to interact with fans without traditional media filters.
Leading star Priyanka Chopra says writing is therapeutic and that she is now hooked on Twitter.
“It started as a lark, a quest of discovery, and now I find my fingers twitching for my Nokia or my laptop wherever something interesting happens,” she told The Hindustan Times last week.
“I have great fun interacting with my ‘Tweeps.’ At least they believe it’s the real me, unlike some of you guys, who still aren’t sure that it’s me reading your mails.”
Chopra’s Twitter feed — Twitter — reveals her recent thoughts on everything from Michael Jackson’s death to updates about her shooting schedule and even the monsoon rains.
Sonam Kapoor follows a similar line, “tweeting” on the banal, like her favorite television shows, to her next film project, “Aisha,” based on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel “Emma.” Mayank Shekhar, national cultural editor at The Hindustan Times, said the switch to technology — despite the low Internet penetration in India — makes perfect sense given the growing hunger for Bollywood news.
“There’s been an increase in the number of newspapers and television stations that are after the same five people. Most newspapers have five to 10 pages [on Bollywood] every day,” he said.
“Editors want the story as it ups circulation. There’s so much written about these guys’ lives on a daily basis that’s not true, with blogs they can set the record straight.”
Electronic marketing also cuts down costs and avoids time-consuming news conferences, he added.
Bachchan, for example, updates his blog bigb.bigadda.com daily, musing at length on life and responding personally to his many fans’ comments.
He also picks apart every news item written about him, giving his own response.
Most recently, the 66-year-old has been giving updates on his health after a recurring stomach complaint.
“Reporters got the entire story from his blog. All the information was in his post that day. It was as good as the reporter having spoken to him,” Shekhar said.
In a sign of the Internet’s influence as a source of Bollywood news, Bachchan courted controversy over remarks he made about the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire.”
Media took his comments that the film showed India’s “third-world underbelly” as a slight on British director Danny Boyle, although Bachchan denied he was being critical of the movie’s success.
But mostly, new technology is used to maintain a strong fan base, sheikar said.beside that with twitter Bollywood Fans Community In Jakarta can get close to their fans in Bollywood and sharing with them.it is more easyly to get information about their fans actress or actor in Bollywood, Sheikar said.

Paa
Bachcha Bachchan rocks!
RATING: 7
By N.K. Deoshi
Try to find Amitabh Bachchan and you’ll end up scraping the nooks and crannies. What you’ll rather find is a progeric Bachcha, Auro - a funny, naughty preteen, all gnarled up because of his extremely rare disease that causes accelerated aging in children.
At 67, when most actors hang their boots to rest and reflect on their laurels, Big B takes a giant leap backwards to step into the shoes of the 12-year-old Auro; the transformation achieved with much more than just the layers of prosthetic make-up which, while giving an actor a completely new makeover, restricts his or her range of facial expressions. But Big B proves that not for nothing was he once (and arguably still is) the Paa of actors’ fraternity in Bollywood. In director R Balki’s Paa, he sheds his imposing baritone for the rasping slur of an adolescent, sheds his towering gait for the waggle of a school kid. But it’s his eyes - serenely reflective as ever - that do the most talking.
“Chromosome glitch” is how Auro’s mom Vidya (Vidya Balan) describes his genetic defect when a curious auntie in the park inquires. Auro is her love child from Amol (Abhishek Bachchan) with whom she snapped all ties after he asked her to abort the baby in the days when the two lovers, riding the rollercoaster of their hormones, ended up having unprotected sex. So while Amol chiseled out for himself a bright and promising career as a politician with a firm resolve to reform the society and system, Vidya, a gynecologist, raised her progeric kid along with her mom whom Auro lovingly calls ‘Bum’.
‘Paa’ is as much the story of Auro’s Maa and Paa as it is of the unusual kid with a geriatric body but heart and mind of a child. It’s equally the story of a couple (Abhi and Vidya), drifted apart years ago, but brought together in a dramatic set of circumstances by their son whose genetic defect won’t let him live long. And it is as much the tale of a son discovering the father he never had.
Writer, director R Balki pretty much gets everything right but falls a wee bit short of taking ‘Paa’ to the emotional crescendo that the story might have touched. Seasoned generously with wry humour revolving around Auro’s antics, his monkey dance, his ‘potty’ gags, and his schoolmates, ‘Paa’ is amusingly funny even as it tugs at your heart and develops into a bonafide tearjerker without becoming overtly sentimental.
Abhishek Bachchan, getting substantial footage in the film, is well into his character of a conscientious MP who believes in doing things the right way even while taking on the media. Vidya Balan, I must admit, overacts in the scenes showing her emotional outburst. Paresh Rawal (as Abhi’s pa) has a very little role to talk about, but a special mention ought to be made of the child actor Pratik Katare who plays Auro’s schoolbuddy Vishnu, poor in studies and slapped around by his dad at home.
Apart from performances, ‘Paa’ is propped by Ilayaraja’s soulful tunes and PC Sreeram’s simple yet slick cinematography. My only grouch is that the screenplay at times seems deliberately tweaked to bring out a message. For instance, the final sequence when Auro’s schoolmate (a girl he keeps running away from throughout the film) wisecracks that ‘the wrongdoer suffers more than the one who’s been wronged’ and thereby triggers the thaw between Auro’s estranged parents.
Besides these forgettable foibles, ‘Paa’, all in all, is a tour de force, an emotional ride that leaves you smiling moist-eyed. Carry your tissues and kerchiefs along.
Rating: 7/10

Radio
Love Frequency
A radio jockey who solves people's love problems finds his own love life derailing due to irreconcilable differences with his wife in director Isshaan Trivedi’s film Radio.
The movie stars music composer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya along with two beauties, Sonal Sehgal and Shenaz Treasurywala.
In Mumbai, Vivan Shah (Himesh) works as a radio jockey for a popular channel. At home he has a beautiful wife Pooja (Sonal). But love is fizzling out of the couple’s lives. No longer compatible, the husband-wife duo decides to go their separate ways and take divorce.
Then, into Vivan’s confused and complex life enters the sweet, saucy and forever smiling Shanaya (Shenaz). She comes into Vivan’s gloomy world like a ray of sunshine. Vivan obviously is affected by her presence. He even discusses it with his divorced wife Pooja.
Though Vivan doesn’t know, Pooja sees that he has begun to like, and possibly love, Shanaya.
Vivan himself is surprised when he realizes how important a part Shanaya has become of his life. Changing his attitude, he reciprocates her advances and even tries to know her family.

London Dreams
Salman, Ajay, Asin as rockstars
Two friends. One dream. One common thread - music. What seems like an ideal friendship turns sour when one becomes more famous than another. To make things worse, the famous one also walks away with the girl the other friend loves.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s London Dreams is a tale of friendship, love, trust, betrayal and redemption. It stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin in main roles. Supporting roles are by Ranvijay Singh, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Om Puri, Manoj Pahwa and Brinda Parekh.
Mannu (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Ajay Devgan) were childhood friends. But they had little in common except their family's vague connection with music. While Arjun's life was consumed by a passionate drive to get on stage and realize his grandfather's unfulfilled dream, Mannu had little interest in his music tutor father's instruments and was content with remaining a child at heart with no higher ambition than enjoying the good things in life. But little did they know that someday music would strengthen their friendship and drive them apart.
Arjun ends up in London and works his way up from the streets to forge a band ‘London Dreams’ with Zoheb and Wasim, two brothers from Pakistan, and Priya (Asin), a music enthusiast from a conservative South Indian family.
Meanwhile, far away in Punjab, music becomes a survival tool for Mannu, who takes to playing in wedding bands in his village.
Then, Arjun does what good friends do. He brings Mannu to London to become a part of his band. But soon he regrets doing so.
Mannu, with his inherent musical gift and irreverent style of performing, catapults to stardom overnight. He becomes an instant hit with the crowds. What took Arjun years to achieve, Mannu does that in a few days.
But when Arjun loses Priya, the girl he secretly loved to Mannu, he battles his inner demons to devise a sinister strategy to destroy his best friend.
As the band goes on a three-city tour of Paris, Rome and Amsterdam, Arjun meticulously sabotages Mannu’s career and love life.
Finally, at Wembley, one of Europe’s largest stadiums, where he hopes to have his moment of glory, a rude shock awakens Arjun. At the expense of his band, his friendship and his credibility, a humbling experience teaches him the true meaning of acceptance in life.
The movie’s story and screenplay is by Suresh Nair and music is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Lyrics are by Prasoon Joshi.
'London Dreams' is set to release on October 30.

Jail
By Naresh Kumar
Reality Bites! And director Madhur Bhandarkar has been repeatedly pinching us with his ‘realistic’ potshots at different faces of our modern society - from the glitzy ramps of Fashion to the sleazy pubs of Chandni Bar. Now, with Jail, the director saunters behind the barbed fence to provide us a peek into the lives of the people we call ‘criminals’.
As Morgan Freeman’s character said in ‘Shawshank Redemption’, “we’re all innocent in here”. So is Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh), a handsome yuppie who’s thrown inside a prison based on the circumstantial evidence that implicates him for possession of drugs. Parag had a promising career and a loving girlfriend (Mugdha Godse) before his smooth-sailing life was turned turtle on a fateful day when he gave lift to his roommate who secretly carried drugs in his bag. The mobile phone records and the bloody shootout with police make for substantial evidence against Parag. He’s thrown inside Thane jail till his case could come up for hearing in the courts.
From thereon, Bhandarkar begins to delineate various character sketches inside the squalid, smelly, sweaty and overcrowded prison barracks.
There’s a convict named Kabir (Arya Babbar) with links to the underworld. He keeps an eye open to recruit possible shooters for his ‘Bhai’ outside. There’s Nawab (Manoj Bajpai), a butcher serving a sentence for murder. He’s on good terms with everyone, including the jail authorities, and emerges a comforter for Parag. On the sidelines are typical characters that seem plucked out of newspaper headlines. There’s a guy who’s behind bars for mowing down people with his car. There’s another one, a social activist, cooped up inside the jail for showing sympathy for Naxals. There’s also a poetry reciting inmate Ghalib, who manages to pull off a daring escape.
But it’s Neil’s character that remains the unshifting focus of the story. Through his ordeal, Bhandarkar not just mirrors the harsh reality inside a prison but also attempts to make a statement at the country’s judicial system where the speed of justice dispensation can put a snail to shame.
The movie would not have worked had the role been entrusted to wrong hands. Neil digs his teeth well into his character and brings a mix of seething angst, cathartic outbursts and hopeless resignation against his situation. Both Arya Babbar and Manoj Bajpai cut neat performances while Mugdha Godse underplays her character quite evidently.
What’s souring in this slice-of-life drama is that it eventually comes pretty close to being a collage of clichés to be expected from a film of this genre. It hardly tells anything which any newspaper reading person already did not know. The system is rotten. Hell, yes it is! The authorities are corrupt. You bet! The judicial system is slow. We all know it. So what’s new in ‘Jail’? Pretty little except a soul-soothing number by Lata Mangeshkar. Her magic hasn’t waned after all these years.

All The Best
Promise of rib-tickling laughter
Two friends are compelled to swap their spouses to live up a lie for the sake of money.
Gird up your loins for some belly churning laughs from director Rohit Shetty’s comedy film about mistaken identities All The Best.
Veer (Fardeen Khan), a singer by profession, is in greed of extracting extra pocket money from his step-brother Dharam (Sanjay Dutt), a business-honcho from London. In order to make his brother loosen the purse strings, Veer tries to lie about his single status and puts it forth as ‘happily married’ with Vidya (Mugdha Godse), whom he loves.
His friend Prem (Ajay Devgan), a concept car expert, lends a helping hand in this falsely embossed projection.
Prem is happily married to Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu) who takes care of his ancestors’ out-dated ‘Chopra Gymnasium’. Veer and Prem land up in debts as they had opted for a short-cut to earn easy money.
The two get into a bigger soup when Veer's step-brother, Dharam pays a sudden visit to their place. Time does not give a chance and circumstances create such situations that Prem's wife Jhanvi is mistaken for Veer's wife and Veer's girlfriend for Prem's wife.
Soon, Veer and Prem start juggling between prolonging the debt payment to a local don Tobu (Johnny Lever) and pacifying Dharam about the false status. The outcome is a rib-tickling comic situation where Veer and Prem handle the unexpected incoming characters arriving at their place and coping with acquaintances where they boast and cover up with lies.
Say what anyone may but Prem and Veer are two people in desperate need of luck to get out of this quagmire. ‘All The Best’ to them.
The film is produced by Ajay Devgan, directed by Rohit Shetty, and has music by Pritam. It is slated to release on October 16.
